What Is Bandle?

Bandle is a daily music guessing game that asks you to identify a song while hearing as few instruments as possible. A familiar track can become surprisingly hard to place when all you have is its drum pattern. As more parts join in, the arrangement gradually gives it away.

The daily song is free, and the selection includes modern hits and older tracks. Additional themed song packs offer more puzzles, while bonus rounds test knowledge of artists, albums and other musical details. Some packs and bonus features require a purchase.

Bandle Rules and Core Twist

  • Name the song, not the instrument. Search by song title or artist, then select the recording you think matches the arrangement.
  • Listen to a growing mix. The opening clue usually features drums. Later stages add bass and other parts, making the same song easier to recognize.
  • These are recreated arrangements. Bandle rebuilds songs note by note; the audio is not simply an isolated piece of the original recording. Later clues can include a voice cover.
  • Read the feedback. A correct song completes the puzzle. An orange wrong answer means you identified the artist but chose the wrong song.
  • Use the remaining clues. Skip advances you toward more revealing clues, including a final hint about the title. Skipping the final stage reveals the answer and ends an unsolved round.

The challenge is to recognize the track early, before the fuller arrangement makes the answer obvious.

How to Play Bandle

  1. Play the opening instrument. Listen for the rhythm, distinctive pauses or a recognizable drum fill. These can suggest a song even before its melody appears.
  2. Search for a likely answer. Type an artist or title, choose the matching song from the suggestions and submit it. A correct match ends the round; orange feedback narrows your search to other songs by that artist.
  3. Request another layer when stuck. Press Skip to reveal more instruments. Listen to how the new bass line, guitar or keyboard part fits the rhythm, then reconsider your candidates.
  4. Use the final hint if needed. Combine the title clue with the arrangement you have heard and submit your best match. If you still cannot identify it, skipping reveals the song.

Strategy Tips

  • Focus on distinctive musical phrases rather than tempo alone: many songs share a beat, but fewer share the same bass movement or instrumental hook.
  • Allow for differences in instrument sound and singing. Recognizing the composition matters more than matching the exact production of the original recording.
