What is Bookdle?

Bookdle is a daily book guessing game where players must identify a book from its cover image, which is revealed progressively. Inspired by Wordle and Framed, the game tests your knowledge of book covers and literature.

Each day features a new book, and all players guess the same one.

Bookdle Game Rules

  1. Objective: Guess the book from its cover in 6 attempts
  2. Progressive Reveal: The cover is revealed in increasingly larger portions with each incorrect guess
  3. Search Function: Auto-search for matching book titles as you type
  4. Skip Option: You can skip your current attempt to see more of the cover
  5. 6 Attempts: You have 6 guesses
  6. Daily Book: All players guess the same book each day

How To Play Bookdle


Attempt 1

Display: 📚 A tiny corner of the book cover (maybe just a color or small detail)

Player Guesses: Skip (Too little information to identify)

Result: Reveals more of the cover

Display: 📚 A larger section showing part of the title or imagery

Player Guesses: The Great Gatsby

Result: ❌ Incorrect

Analysis: Similar classic literature style, but wrong book


Attempt 3

Display: 📚 Half the cover now visible, showing more design elements

Player Guesses: To Kill a Mockingbird

Result:Correct!
