You’re dropped into a random place on Earth. No map. No labels. Just a street-level view and your instincts. GeoGuessr turns the entire planet into a puzzle—and you’re the one trying to solve it.

At first, it feels simple. Look around, spot a sign, maybe guess a country. But then it hits you: every detail matters. The shape of road lines, the language on a billboard, the color of soil, even which side of the road cars drive on. Suddenly, you’re not just guessing—you’re investigating.

GeoGuessr Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

• 🌍 You are dropped somewhere random: Could be a busy city, a desert road, or a tiny village.
• 👀 You CAN move, pan, and zoom: Explore using Street View to gather clues.
• 🧭 You MUST place a guess on the map: Click anywhere in the world to lock in your answer.
• 📏 Distance = Score: The closer your guess is to the real location, the higher your points.
• ⏱️ Time pressure (in some modes): Limited time means less exploration and more instinct.

The Trap: Everything looks familiar… until it isn’t. A road sign might be in English—but you’re actually in rural South Africa. Palm trees? Could be California… or Thailand. The game constantly baits you into confident mistakes.

How To Play GeoGuessr?

• You look around: trees, buildings, signs, sky.

Step 2: Investigate

• Player Moves: Walk down the road, rotate camera.
• Finds: A sign in Spanish, yellow road lines, mountains nearby.
• What This Means: Likely South America… maybe Chile or Argentina.

Step 3: Narrow It Down

• You spot a domain like .cl or a flag.
• Now you're thinking: "Okay, definitely Chile."

Step 4: Place Your Guess

• Click Chile on the world map.
• Lock it in.

Step 5: Reveal & Learn

• 🎯 Actual location appears.
• 📏 You see distance: "1,243 km away"
• 🧠 You adjust your instincts for the next round.
