- Study the pitch. Identify which player has the ball, where the goal is, and which teammates can create a useful route.
- Check the current player's movement pattern. An attacker works diagonally, a defender works in straight lines, a midfielder uses knight-style jumps, and the goalkeeper has short king-like movement.
- Move or pass strategically. Reposition the ball carrier when useful, then kick to a teammate who opens a better path toward goal.
- Build a legal sequence. Use the different player types together rather than relying on one piece to do everything.
- Finish the goal. Once a player has a legal kicking line to the net, take the shot and complete the puzzle.

Imagine the ball starts with a Defender. Because defenders behave like rooks, that player can interact along straight horizontal and vertical lines.
A conceptual route might look like this:
Defender -> Midfielder -> Attacker -> Goal
The defender first passes along a straight line to the midfielder. The midfielder can then use knight-style geometry to reach a position unavailable to the defender. From there, the ball might reach an attacker whose diagonal line connects cleanly with the goal.
The exact route changes with each layout, so every goal feels like a compact chess calculation played on a soccer field.
Why Movement Order Matters
Kickoff League is not just about spotting a player who can eventually shoot. You also need to create a legal sequence of movement and passing actions.
A pass that appears unnecessary at first may be the move that changes possession, opens a new geometry, and lets another player reposition legally on the following action.
