OWLDLE

OWLDLE
OWLDLE is a daily Overwatch esports guessing game where you have eight attempts to identify a mystery pro player. Every wrong guess reveals clues about nationality, role, age, region, and team, turning roster knowledge into a deduction battle.

What is owldle?
OWLDLE turns Overwatch esports knowledge into a daily elimination puzzle. A mystery professional player is hiding somewhere in the roster, and you have eight attempts to identify them before your guesses run out.
The twist is that a failed guess is still valuable. Every player you submit reveals information about nationality, role, age, region, and team. Read the colors, follow the age arrows, eliminate impossible players, and turn a huge esports roster into one final suspect. OWLDLE also supports different OWCS and historical OWL seasons, so longtime competitive Overwatch fans can test much more than the current roster.
owldle Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)
You have 8 attempts to find the mystery player.
Each guess produces a row of clues:
PLAYER | 🇰🇷 NATIONALITY | ROLE | AGE | REGION | TEAM
The feedback works like this:
- 🟩 Green — the attribute is an exact match.
- 🟥 Red — the attribute does not match the mystery player.
- 🟧 Orange Role — you have the correct broader role, but not the exact sub-role.
- Age ↑ — the mystery player is older than the player you guessed.
- Age ↓ — the mystery player is younger than the player you guessed.
- Team Logo — helps you determine whether you are hunting inside the correct organization.
For example:
Guess: Player A
🇰🇷 🟩 | SUPPORT 🟧 | 21 ↑ | EMEA 🟥 | TEAM 🟥
You now know the target shares that nationality, is somewhere within the matching broader role family, is older than 21, and belongs to a different region and team.
The trap is guessing from fame alone. OWLDLE rewards roster deduction: one green nationality clue combined with an age direction and role match can eliminate far more players than simply trying another superstar.
The daily answer resets, while an Endless mode is also available for players who want to keep guessing instead of stopping after the daily challenge.
How To Play owldle?
1. Search for your opening player
Player Guesses: A well-known OWCS player.
Result:
Nationality 🟥 | Role 🟧 | Age 20 ↑ | Region 🟩 | Team 🟥
What This Means: The target comes from another country, shares the broader role category, is older than 20, competes in the same region, and plays for another team.
2. Use one guess to test several clues
Pick an older player from the confirmed region who fits the role clue but represents a different nationality and team.
Result:
Nationality 🟩 | Role 🟩 | Age 24 ↓ | Region 🟩 | Team 🟥
Next Constraint: The mystery player now has a confirmed nationality, role, and region, and must be younger than 24 but older than 20.
3. Shrink the roster
Look for players who satisfy the complete clue combination:
Correct nationality + Correct role + Age 21–23 + Correct region + Different team
Most candidates are now ELIMINATED.
4. Make the finishing guess
Submit the player who fits every surviving clue.
Nationality 🟩 | Role 🟩 | Age 🟩 | Region 🟩 | Team 🟩
Mystery solved. Your daily OWLDLE is complete.
owldle Strategy & Tips
Your opening guess should be a player whose team, role, nationality, and approximate age you already understand. That makes every piece of feedback immediately useful.
Treat age arrows as range finders. If one guess tells you the answer is older than 20 and another says younger than 24, you have suddenly compressed the search to a narrow age window.
Orange role clues matter too. They can tell you that you are searching within the right general role while warning you that the exact specialization is still wrong.
Finally, combine clues rather than chasing one green square at a time. The winning player must satisfy the entire row of evidence.
