enclose.horse is a deceptively simple browser puzzle about one very determined horse and your attempt to build the perfect pasture. You place a limited number of walls on a grid, using grass, water, and special tiles to create the largest sealed area possible.

The twist is that the horse is not truly “caught” unless every path to the edge is blocked. One tiny opening means the horse wanders off, your beautiful fence collapses into shame, and the pasture dream is over. It is relaxing, strategic, and quietly ruthless.

The Goal: enclose the horse inside the highest-scoring pasture you can build.

• Grass tiles can usually be walled off and counted for score when enclosed.
• Walls are limited. You get a fixed wall budget for each puzzle.
• Water tiles act like natural barriers, so smart players use them as free fence pieces.
• The horse CAN move up, down, left, and right.
• The horse CANNOT move diagonally.
• The horse CANNOT pass through walls or water.
• If any open path reaches the edge of the board, the horse is NOT enclosed.
• Bigger enclosed areas usually mean a better score, but special tiles can change the math.

Special tiles may appear in some puzzles:

• Cherries: bonus points if enclosed.
• Golden Apples: high-value bonus targets.
• Bee Swarms: score penalties if trapped inside your pasture.
• Portals: dangerous shortcuts; if one portal connects inside to outside, the horse may still escape.

The trap is not just “build a box.” The real challenge is building the biggest legal enclosure with the fewest wasted walls.
