What is GnarlyQ?

GnarlyQ is a daily trivia game built around knowing when to stop. Each of five questions gives you ten options, exactly five of which are correct. You can keep selecting answers to increase the round's value or lock in the points you have already earned.

It rewards confidence with a risk: after your protection is gone, a wrong tap ends the question and wipes its points. You do not need to identify every correct option to bank a useful score.

Increasing points and protective shields

Successive correct selections earn 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 points. Finding all five is therefore worth 20, with 100 available across five perfect rounds. The timer limits each question, but there is no speed bonus.

You begin the day with two shields that block wrong taps. One additional shield is hidden beneath a correct answer somewhere in questions one through four. Watch the shield indicator: a protected mistake and an unprotected mistake have different consequences.

How to play

  1. Open the daily game and read the current question and all ten options.
  2. Tap the answers you are most certain belong to the requested set.
  3. Watch your round score and remaining shields before taking another risk.
  4. Choose Lock In when you want to keep the points shown and move on, or continue toward a five-answer sweep.
  5. Complete the five questions and review the daily total.

A simple risk example

Three correct taps build 2 + 3 + 4 = 9 points. A fourth correct tap would bring the round to 14. Without a shield, however, an incorrect fourth choice would wipe the round. Locking in keeps the nine you already have.

Make that decision from the strength of your knowledge, not just the size of the next reward. Start with clear facts, then separate “I recognize this option” from “I know it answers this question.”
