What is Gossipdle?
Gossipdle is a daily deduction puzzle about twenty characters and the clues they reveal. Decide which characters belong to each of the puzzle's two statuses, described generally as guilty or innocent and adapted to the day's story.
The current board has four columns and five rows, with coordinates such as A1 and D5. Themes change the names, roles, and scenario, while the solving task remains to classify everyone from the available evidence.
A chain of justified deductions
You start with a revealed character and clue. Correctly identifying another person reveals more information, which can unlock the next deduction. The game is designed to require a logically supported move, and its rules say unsupported choices are blocked.
Pay attention to exact groups, counts, and relationships. A clue about two people's shared neighbors is different from a clue about everyone next to either person. Use the tutorial's definitions before assuming that casual everyday wording describes the grid precisely.
How to play
- Read today's scenario, its displayed status labels, and the initial revealed clue.
- Locate the named people or coordinates and identify exactly which cells the clue constrains.
- Select a character whose status follows from the evidence and mark that status.
- Read the newly unlocked clue and combine it with what you already know.
- Continue until all twenty characters are classified, then review your time, hints, and mistakes.
Use exact counts
As an invented example, if a defined group contains exactly two guilty people and you have already proved two members guilty, every other member of that group must be innocent. You do not need to know anything about their personalities or jobs to make that inference.
Keep track of which clues are exhausted and which still constrain unresolved cells. If a move is rejected as unsupported, look for missing evidence rather than repeatedly tapping the same hunch. The Hint control and tutorial can help when you cannot see the next deduction.
