You get exactly six attempts to uncover a secret 5-letter word, with every guess delivering instant color-coded truth about which letters are right, wrong, or in the wrong spot.

gridwords Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

• The Hidden Word: A single 5-letter secret word is chosen each day. Every guess you make MUST be a valid 5-letter word.
• Color Feedback (The Core Mechanic):
  • 🟩 Green = Letter is correct and in the exact right position. LOCKED IN.
  • 🟨 Yellow = Letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
  • ⬜ Gray = Letter is NOT in the word at all. ELIMINATED.
• Six Attempts Only: You have exactly 6 guesses. Run out and the word is revealed — no mercy.
• No Repeats Allowed: You CANNOT guess the same word twice. The game prevents invalid or repeated entries.
• Daily Reset: A brand new word appears every 24 hours. Share your score and compare with friends.

How To Play gridwords?

Step 1: First Strike
Player Types: CRANE and hits Enter.
Game Responds: C 🟩 R ⬜ A 🟨 N ⬜ E ⬜
What You Learn: C is perfect in position 1. A is somewhere else. R, N, and E are gone forever.

Step 2: Narrow the Field
Player Types: CLAMP
Game Responds: C 🟩 L ⬜ A 🟩 M ⬜ P ⬜
What You Learn: The word is C _ A _ _. A is locked in position 3. Many letters eliminated.

Step 3: Hunt the Remaining Letters
Player Types: CHART
Game Responds: C 🟩 H 🟨 A 🟩 R ⬜ T ⬜
What You Learn: H belongs in the word but not position 2. The pattern tightens dramatically.

Step 4: Victory or Defeat
Player Types: CHAOS or the correct word.
Game Responds: All 🟩 if correct — celebration animation and stats popup.
What You Learn: Your score, guess distribution, and daily streak. Share it before tomorrow's new word drops.

Strategy & Tips

• Start with strong openers like CRANE, SLATE, or AUDIO to eliminate or confirm common vowels and consonants fast.
• Use yellow letters immediately — test them in new positions on the next guess.
• Track eliminated letters mentally or on paper if you're hardcore.
• Don't waste guesses on words that ignore your green/yellow info — every attempt must give maximum new information.
• Play daily to build vocabulary intuition and climb the global streak leaderboards.
