What is Hemiscope Odd One Out?
Hemiscope Odd One Out is a short geography classification game. Each round shows four countries and names a property that three share. You must choose the country that does not belong under that particular rule.
How to play Hemiscope Odd One Out
- Read the property displayed above the four countries.
- Compare each country against that property, rather than looking for any difference between them.
- Tap the country you think is the outlier.
- Review the outcome and move to the next set. There is only one choice per round.
- Complete all five rounds, then inspect the result or try Practice mode for another run.
Find the shared rule, then its exception
Many groups of four countries can be divided in several ways. The named property is what makes this puzzle specific. Three countries might share a coastline feature even though an entirely different country stands out by size or language. Answer the property on the board.
For an invented example, a “landlocked” comparison asks about access to the sea, not whether a country contains lakes. Clarify the category's meaning before relying on a mental picture of the map. This example does not identify a daily answer.
Tips for a more careful choice
Use positive evidence where possible. If you can explain why three countries share the property, the remaining one becomes a stronger choice than a name that simply feels unfamiliar. If two look like exceptions, revisit what the property actually describes.
