Hexle is a daily hexadecimal color puzzle: guess the six-character code that creates the target shade. Green and yellow character feedback guides you toward the answer across six attempts.
What is Hexle?
Hexle combines visual color matching with the logic of hexadecimal notation. The target shade is visible, but the real answer is its six-character code, built from the digits 0–9 and letters A–F.
You do not need to identify the code blindly. Each submitted value produces positional feedback, turning color knowledge and deduction into one six-guess puzzle.
Hexle Game Rules
- Enter a valid six-character hexadecimal color code.
- You have six attempts to find the code for the displayed target color.
- Green means a character is correct and in the correct position.
- Yellow means the character appears in the answer but belongs elsewhere.
- A new target color is available each day.
How To Play Hexle?
- Estimate RGB: decide whether red, green, or blue contributes most strongly to the target.
- Submit a valid baseline: use a complete six-character code so every position provides evidence.
- Lock green positions: keep exact characters where they are.
- Move yellow characters: test them in another position while changing unsupported values.
- Match code and swatch: use both the tile clues and the color preview before attempt six.
Hexle Strategy & Tips
Remember that the code is three pairs: red, green, and blue. High pairs such as FF add more of a channel, while values near 00 remove it. Begin with a code that reflects the visible balance instead of a random sequence; even an imperfect visual estimate can put several characters near their correct region.
