Hue Duel

Hue Duel hides a recognizable theme behind a four-color palette. Guess the connection in five tries, use progressive hints in Casual mode, or choose Artist mode and rely on color instinct alone.

Hue Duel gameplay

What is Hue Duel?

Hue Duel asks what four colors have in common. The palette might evoke a character, flag, brand, place, object, or other recognizable theme, but the answer is hidden until you connect the visual clues.

The daily round can be played as a guided deduction puzzle or as a pure test of palette knowledge. That choice changes how much help a wrong answer provides.

Hue Duel Game Rules

  • One daily theme is represented by four colors.
  • You have five attempts to name the theme.
  • Casual mode reveals hints as guesses run out, including details such as category or letters.
  • Artist mode gives no hints after failed guesses.
  • Progress and streak information stay on the current device.

How To Play Hue Duel?

  1. Read the palette: notice the order, balance, and most distinctive color rather than treating the four swatches separately.
  2. Choose a mode: select Casual for progressive clues or Artist for an uncompromised color-memory test.
  3. Make a broad first guess: test the most likely category or cultural reference.
  4. Use the response: combine any new hint with the original palette and narrow the possibilities.
  5. Name the theme: solve before the fifth attempt disappears.

Hue Duel Strategy & Tips

Ask where you have seen the colors together, not what each color means on its own. Unusual pairings are often more useful than the dominant shade. In Casual mode, save very specific guesses until at least one hint has confirmed the direction; in Artist mode, think in categories before committing to a name.
