What is Huedle?

Huedle scatters a smooth color gradient across a grid and asks you to put the visual order back together. The endpoints provide a sense of direction, but the shades between them can differ by only a tiny amount.

A new board arrives each day. The puzzle is easy to understand immediately, yet optimizing both moves and time gives experienced players a reason to keep sharpening their eye.

Huedle Game Rules

  • Rearrange the movable color tiles to create one continuous gradient.
  • Compare tiles horizontally and vertically; both directions must flow naturally.
  • Reference tiles and endpoints help establish the intended transition.
  • The game tracks how many moves you use and how long the solve takes.
  • Optional help can point out correctly placed tiles when the middle shades become ambiguous.

How To Play Huedle?

  1. Find the anchors: study the corners and strongest colors to understand the gradient's direction.
  2. Sort broad families: separate cooler, warmer, lighter, and darker tiles before worrying about exact positions.
  3. Swap the edges first: edge tiles have fewer neighbors, so mistakes are easier to spot.
  4. Inspect the seams: look for any abrupt jump in hue or brightness and swap the tile causing it.
  5. Finish the center: make the smallest distinctions only after the outer structure feels smooth.

Huedle Strategy & Tips

Do not judge a tile alone. A shade may look correct beside one neighbor but clearly wrong beside another. Squinting or briefly looking away can make a broken transition more obvious, and working from the strongest corner colors toward the center reduces unnecessary swaps.
