What is Hues?

Hues puts the target and your color side by side, then adds a clock. Instead of typing values, you move through a color field and hue strip until the two swatches feel identical.

The daily puzzle gives everyone the same shade, while Endless mode adds stages and difficulty choices. Local Versus turns the same visual skill into a pass-and-play contest.

Hues Game Rules

  • Match the target swatch using the color pad and hue control.
  • Lock in the selection before the timer reaches zero.
  • Accuracy produces the base score.
  • Fast submissions can add a speed bonus, and extremely close matches earn a precision bonus.
  • A timeout keeps only the base result and forfeits bonuses.
  • Daily mode offers one shared puzzle and a shareable color-square result.

How To Play Hues?

  1. Compare the swatches: decide which direction separates your starting color from the target.
  2. Set the hue: move to the correct color family before tuning lightness and intensity.
  3. Use the pad: adjust the shade while repeatedly glancing between Target and Yours.
  4. Stop at the closest point: avoid spending the final seconds overcorrecting a strong match.
  5. Lock it in: bank accuracy, time, and any available bonuses.

Hues Strategy & Tips

Move quickly when the colors are far apart and slowly when they begin to converge. Compare one dimension at a time: first warmth, then brightness, then saturation. If the swatches seem equal, look at their borders or briefly shift your gaze; tiny differences are often easier to see indirectly.
