What is Meikyu?
Meikyu is a daily dungeon deduction game with two connected puzzles. On each floor, you must identify an ordered lineup of five residents from a roster of 36. Across multiple floors and days, you also investigate the house rules that determine which arrangements are possible.
That second layer makes yesterday's discoveries useful. Solving one lineup is satisfying, but the larger attraction is building an explanation for how the dungeon behaves.
Five positions, six attempts
Each floor gives you six attempts to find its five-slot answer. Feedback distinguishes three cases: green means the correct resident in the correct position, gold means that resident belongs elsewhere in the lineup, and gray means the resident is absent. Correct positions carry into the next attempt.
The hidden rules are a separate source of evidence. Use the Codex to keep track of discoveries, then check whether an apparent pattern survives on later floors. One successful arrangement is evidence, not proof of a universal rule.
How to play
- Open the English browser game and enter the available dungeon floor.
- Choose residents for all five positions and submit the lineup.
- Keep the green positions, reconsider gold residents in other slots, and rule out gray residents for this floor.
- Use your remaining attempts to test an arrangement that fits both the feedback and your current understanding of the house rules.
- After the floor, review what you learned and record useful discoveries in the Codex.
Think in two layers
For an illustrative lineup, imagine a resident receives gold in slot two. That tells you the resident belongs somewhere else; it does not identify the correct slot. A house-rule discovery might narrow those remaining possibilities further.
Separate this floor's feedback from a rule you suspect applies across floors. This keeps an attractive theory from overriding direct evidence.
