Nerdle Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

  • 🔢 You MUST guess a valid mathematical equation (e.g., 8+4=12).
  • ➗ Equations must follow correct order of operations.
  • 🎯 You have 6 guesses to find the exact equation.
  • 🎨 Feedback system:
    • 🟩 Correct number/operator in the correct position
    • 🟪 Correct number/operator but in the wrong position
    • ⬛ Not in the equation

Example:

Target (hidden): ???

Guess: 8+4=12

Feedback:

8 + 4 = 1 2 🟩 ⬛ 🟪 🟩 ⬛ 🟩

  • 8 is correct and in place
    • is not used
  • 4 exists but in wrong position
  • = is correct
  • 1 is not used
  • 2 is correct and in place

The trap?

  • Every guess MUST be mathematically correct.
  • You’re solving BOTH the math AND the pattern.
  • Operators are just as important as numbers.

How To Play Nerdle?

Step 1: First Guess

What This Means: Some digits or operators are correct—but placement may be wrong.

Step 2: Adjust the Equation

Player Guesses: 4×2=8
Result: More matches appear

What This Means: You’re getting closer—structure is improving.

Step 3: Narrow It Down

Player Guesses: 2×4=8
Result: 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 → ✅ Correct!

Step 4: Reflection

You didn’t just guess—you deduced.
