What is Play Bluff?

Play Bluff is a daily trivia game that asks you to find a false claim instead of choosing a correct fact. Each round presents five statements about a topic: four are true and one is the bluff. The daily game contains five rounds.

The challenge comes from wording that sounds reasonable. A familiar subject can still trip you up if you skim past the one claim that changes a definition, reverses a relationship, or adds an unjustified detail.

Four truths and one bluff

Your target is the single false statement in the current set. Read all five before choosing: the surprising-sounding statement is not necessarily the incorrect one. The game displays the current round and topic so you can keep track of your progress through the daily set.

This is a solo knowledge challenge, rather than a party game where players invent lies for one another. You are evaluating the claims the puzzle supplies.

How to play

  1. Open the daily game and read the round's topic.
  2. Read all five numbered statements, paying attention to exact wording.
  3. Eliminate the claims you can confidently support and compare the uncertain ones.
  4. Select the statement you believe is false. The interface also shows number-key shortcuts for choosing an option.
  5. Review the outcome and continue through the remaining rounds.

Look for the smallest wrong detail

Consider this invented example: “Every square is a rectangle” and “Every rectangle is a square.” The statements use the same familiar words, but reversing the relationship changes which one is true. Play Bluff often rewards that kind of careful reading more than a quick reaction to a recognizable term.

Treat “always,” “only,” and similar absolute wording as details to check, not automatic proof of a bluff. A convincing answer still needs to be evaluated against what you actually know. If two claims seem doubtful, reread their definitions before committing.
