A single mystery track blasts into your speakers every day… but you only get a heartbeat of sound at first. Songless turns your music memory into a high-stakes duel: identify the artist and title before the intro grows long enough to give the game away.

The core twist is the ruthless audio progression—each miss or skip hands you a longer clip, turning every wrong guess into a bigger spoiler. It’s challenging because one bad guess can flood your ears with too many clues too soon, yet thrilling when you nail it on try #1 and feel like a human Shazam.

Songless Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

You MUST name the exact song (artist + title) within 6 tries or the daily puzzle locks you out until tomorrow.

You CAN listen to the current intro snippet and type your guess. The game instantly tells you if you’re right or wrong.

You CANNOT repeat guesses—the game forbids it. Every incorrect answer or skip FORBIDDEN from staying hidden: it automatically unlocks a longer portion of the same intro (0.5s → 1s → 2s → 4s → 8s → 16s max).

Run out of tries and the full answer is revealed, ending your streak. Get it right early and you lock in bragging rights with the shortest possible play time.

How To Play Songless?

Step 1: Press play on the mystery intro
The daily song starts with the tiniest slice of audio.

Player Action: Hit the play button and listen hard to the opening 0.5 seconds.

Game Response: The clip stops abruptly.

What You Learn: A tiny taste—maybe a drum hit, a vocal note, or a guitar riff that feels familiar.

Step 2: Fire your first guess
Player Action: Type the artist and song title you think it is.

Game Response: “Wrong” flashes and the next longer clip unlocks automatically.

What You Learn: Your hunch was off—now you get 1 second of audio to work with.

Step 3: Chase the growing clues
Player Action: Listen to the new longer snippet (now 1s or 2s) and submit a smarter guess.

Game Response: Another miss? The intro stretches again (up to 4s, then 8s).

What You Learn: More melody, more instruments, more context—your mental playlist narrows fast.

Step 4: Seal the victory
Player Action: When the clip finally clicks, type the exact artist + title.

Result: Green “CORRECT” explodes on screen with your final seconds played, streak counter, and shareable score. Nail it in under 2 seconds and you’re a legend.
