Songdle

Songdle is a daily music puzzle that challenges you to identify one mystery song from a short audio clip. Name the artist, title, and release year to earn up to 30 points.

What is Songdle?

Songdle gives you one mystery song every dayβ€”and only a short audio clip stands between you and a perfect score. Your mission is to recognize the artist, recover the title, and place the track in the correct release year.

Unlike an all-or-nothing music quiz, Songdle awards partial credit for artist and title answers that are close. A typo or missing word may save your score, but vague recognition will not deliver the full 30 points.

Songdle Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

🎧 Mystery Clip: A short clip from the daily song plays automatically.

🎀 Artist: Enter the performer using the autocomplete suggestions. A close spelling can still earn partial credit.

🎡 Title: Enter the song title. A missing word, small typo, or partial title may receive some points.

πŸ“… Year: Enter the song's release year as the third part of your answer.

πŸ† Scoring: Artist, title, and year are each worth up to 10 points:

  • Exact match: 10/10 for that field
  • Close match: Partial credit based on similarity
  • No meaningful match: 0/10
  • Perfect daily score: 30/30

You can skip an answer when unsure, but skipped or incorrect fields sacrifice points. Your submitted result can appear on the leaderboard; without an account, it is shown anonymously.
