Termo

What is Termo?

Termo drops you straight into a high-stakes word duel in Portuguese. You have exactly six attempts to crack the secret 5-letter palavra do dia. After each guess, the tiles light up with merciless honesty: green for perfect letter and position, yellow for right letter but wrong spot, and gray for letters that don't belong.

The twist? It's fully adapted for Portuguese — accents are auto-handled, repeated letters are allowed, and the word list is packed with real Brazilian and Portuguese vocabulary. It's challenging because it forces you to think in Portuguese patterns, common digraphs, and vowel placements that English speakers often miss. Addictive daily ritual for native speakers and learners alike.

Termo Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

  • You MUST guess real 5-letter Portuguese words only (no made-up guesses allowed).
  • 6 attempts maximum. No more, no mercy.
  • Color Feedback:
    • 🟩 Green: Letter is correct and in the right position (LOCKED IN).
    • 🟨 Yellow: Letter is in the word but in the wrong position.
    • ⬛ Gray: Letter is NOT in the word at all (ELIMINATED).
  • Accents are filled automatically and ignored for coloring hints.
  • Repeated letters are fully supported — the game tracks multiples accurately.
  • One new puzzle every day at midnight (Brazil time). Share your grid to show how many tries you needed.

The trap? Over-relying on English word patterns will leave you stuck with grays.
