Crosswordle Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

You are given a scrambled 7×7 crossword grid and a limited number of swaps.

  • Swaps are your only action — Select two letters in the same row or column to exchange positions.
  • Every swap triggers instant color feedback:
    • 🟩 Green: Correct letter, correct position — LOCKED IN.
    • 🟨 Yellow: Correct letter, wrong position in this word.
    • ⬜ Grey: Letter does NOT belong in this word.

Key constraints:

  • 🟩 Green tiles are untouchable — you CANNOT move them.
  • Grey letters are often misplaced across intersections and must be relocated.
  • Each swap affects BOTH a horizontal and vertical word.

WIN CONDITION: Turn the entire grid 🟩 green before you run out of swaps.
