Housle

Housle challenges you to estimate the asking price of a real home using photos and progressively revealed property clues. You have six guesses to get within 5% before the dream house becomes a pricing nightmare.

What is Housle?

Housle drops you in front of a real home and asks one dangerous question: how much is it worth? Your first estimate is based almost entirely on a photograph, so that elegant mansion, modest bungalow, or suspiciously luxurious cabin could destroy your sense of financial reality.

You receive six attempts to estimate the property's asking price. After each unsuccessful guess, Housle tells you whether the price is higher or lower and reveals another photograph or clue, such as the location, square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, lot size, or year built. Reach within 5% of the listed price and you survive the housing market.

Housle Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

Your target: Estimate the home's asking price within 5% of the real listing price.

Your limit: You have six guesses. Every incorrect attempt spends one guess but unlocks more information.

The typical clue battle looks like this:

Photo #1 only → Enter a price → TOO HIGH ⬇️ / TOO LOW ⬆️

Next photo + location → Enter a new price → New direction clue

More property details → Narrow the range → Final estimate

The opening estimate is effectively a blind shot. Later clues CAN make the answer easier, but they may also expose the trap: an ordinary-looking house in an expensive location can cost far more than a spectacular property elsewhere.

A guess does not need to match the price exactly. It MUST land within the game's 5% tolerance to count as a win. Fail to reach that range after the sixth attempt and the listing price wins.

How To Play Housle?

  1. Study the first photograph

Visible: A modern two-story home with no location or property statistics.

    Player Guesses: $700,000

    Result: TOO LOW ⬆️

  2. Use the newly revealed location

    New Clue: Austin, Texas

The location suggests a hotter market, so the player raises the estimate.

    Player Guesses: $1,150,000

    Result: TOO HIGH ⬇️

  3. Read the property details

    New Clues: 2,850 sq ft · 4 beds · 3 baths · Built in 2018

The price is now trapped between $700,000 and $1,150,000.

    Player Guesses: $925,000

  4. Check the final verdict

Result: WITHIN 5% — YOU GOT IT!

The full asking price and property listing are revealed, along with the photos you did not need to unlock.

Housle Strategy & Tips

Treat every guess as range-finding rather than a random number. Your first result creates an upper or lower boundary, and later guesses should steadily squeeze that range.

Location is often more valuable than appearance. Pay attention to the city, nearby metropolitan area, lot size, and square footage before being hypnotized by marble countertops or dramatic swimming pools.

Save your smallest adjustments for the final rounds. Once you know the approximate price bracket, calculate what a 5% margin would look like and aim for the center of the remaining range.
