What Is Krillion Space?

Krillion Space is a free browser astronomy game combining a shared daily puzzle with an endless voyage. Daily transmissions alternate between finding uncommon correct answers and identifying a signal through deduction. Voyage questions take you past planets, nebulae and galaxies, turning your knowledge into progress along a cosmic route.

The two formats test different instincts: the daily rewards rarity or careful elimination, while the voyage asks you to keep answering accurately with limited hull. Optional ghost duels pit you against recorded or simulated pilots; crews add shared activities for signed-in players.

Krillion Space Rules and Core Twist

A new daily transmission arrives at 00:00 UTC, with the same puzzle for everyone. Its format depends on the day:

Format Days Action and scoring
Rarity Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday Type a valid answer. Rarer answers earn more, from 10 to 100 points.
Deduction Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Choose from the displayed options. Solve within three attempts for 100, 60 or 30 points respectively.

Rarity results can remain provisional until the daily closes. When too few players have answered, the game uses a curated rarity rating instead of crowd-derived scoring.

Voyage is a separate sequence of multiple-choice navigation checks about your destinations. Correct answers move the ship deeper; mistakes cost hull, and a hull breach sends you backward along the route. Some checks introduce a crisis countdown, making a wrong or late answer more costly. Pilot archetypes modify voyage abilities without changing the shared daily puzzle.

How to Play Krillion Space

  1. Receive the daily transmission. Press Receive transmission to reveal its setup, prompt and format. Read any instrument readout before deciding how to answer.
  2. Use the matching answer control. On rarity days, type one answer and press Transmit. On deduction days, select an option; an incorrect choice is marked, and the attempt display shows how many tries remain.
  3. Review the feedback. Use any explanation attached to a failed attempt before trying again. When the transmission ends, the result shows your points and an explanation; rarity results also indicate whether the rating is provisional.
  4. Continue into a voyage. Choose Continue voyage. If prompted, select a callsign, archetype and spacecraft, then launch to receive a navigation question for the next destination.
  5. Choose a navigation answer and watch the outcome. A correct choice advances the ship and brings another check. A mistake reveals the correct option and updates your hull; during a crisis, answer before its countdown expires.
