What is Movie Timeliner?
You know the movies—but do you know when they happened?
Movie Timeliner flips movie trivia into a chronological puzzle. Instead of naming films or actors, your job is to place movies in the correct order based on their release dates. Sounds easy… until two films feel like they came out in the same year—and you’re forced to guess.
It’s a battle of memory vs perception. Nostalgia lies. Your brain blends eras. And suddenly, you’re questioning everything you thought you knew about cinema.

Movie Timeliner Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)
- 🎬 You are given a timeline (start → end).
- 🧩 New movies appear one by one.
- 📍 You MUST place each movie in the correct position on the timeline.
- 📅 Placement is based on release year.
- ❌ Wrong placement → mistake recorded (or game over depending on mode).
- 🎯 The goal: Build a perfect chronological sequence.
Example:
Timeline:
2010 ───────── 2020
Movie: Inception
Player Places: around 2015 ❌
Actual: 2010
Next movie: Interstellar
Player Places: after Inception ✅ (2014)
The trap?
- Movies from the same era blur together.
- One wrong placement can break your streak.
- Confidence is often your biggest enemy.

- 🎬 Watch for franchises — sequels help with ordering.
In Movie Timeliner, memory isn’t enough.
You need a sense of time itself.
