What is poople?

poople is a daily word ladder puzzle with one ridiculous mission: take the starting four-letter word and somehow crawl, wiggle, and strategize your way to P O O P.

The joke is simple, but the puzzle has teeth. Every move must be a real word, every step can only change one letter, and your final score depends on how cleanly you find the shortest route. It feels relaxing for the first few seconds, then suddenly you are trapped in a tiny vocabulary maze.

poople Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

The goal is to reach P O O P in as few steps as possible.

S T A R T → change one letter → valid word → change one letter → valid word → P O O P

Core rules:

• You MUST change exactly one letter per move.
• The new word MUST be a valid English word.
• You CANNOT add letters.
• You CANNOT remove letters.
• You CANNOT rearrange the word.
• Your path is judged by how many steps it takes to reach P O O P.

How To Play poople?

1. Start with the daily word
   The game gives you a four-letter starting word, such as P L A Y. Your target is already known: P O O P.

2. Make one clean letter change
   Player enters: P L O Y
   Game checks: Only one letter changed, and the word is valid.
   What you learn: You have moved closer without breaking the ladder.

3. Build the bridge word by word
   Player enters: P L O P
   Game checks: Another legal one-letter step.
   What you learn: The ending is getting closer, but you still need the exact final shape.

4. Reach the target
   Player enters: P O O P
   Result: Puzzle solved.
   What this means: Now the real question is whether your route was short enough to feel clever.

Strategy & Tips

Work backward from P O O P. Words like P O O L, P O M P, C O O P, L O O P, and P L O P can act like stepping stones, depending on the daily starting word.
