What is Art Keeper?
Art Keeper is a daily visual puzzle that gradually reveals a painting as you put its pieces together. Finishing is also the beginning of a short art discovery: you can learn about the artist, the movement, and the story behind the completed work.
The daily puzzle is playable as a guest. Signing in lets you save progress across devices and develop your collection, while the archive provides a way to explore earlier artworks.
How the painting is revealed
The puzzle begins with a hidden image and pieces to arrange and merge into a coherent picture. More of the artwork becomes recognizable as pieces connect. The play screen explains that pieces emerge gradually; when fewer than five are left on the board, the counter can bring out more.
The visual task is therefore partly about matching local details and partly about recognizing the larger composition. A small fragment of sky may be ambiguous on its own, but it becomes easier to place once you can see a horizon or the edge of a building.

Tips for seeing the larger picture
Start with a distinctive boundary: a roofline, a face, or a sharp change between dark and light can be more informative than a broad patch of similar color. Compare the direction of brushwork and edges when two pieces seem nearly interchangeable.
