DayBrix

DayBrix is a daily falling-block puzzle where you complete rows to erase every gold brick from the board. With one daily attempt and a different theme for each weekday, a familiar arcade idea becomes a compact high-pressure challenge.

What is DayBrix?

DayBrix drops falling shapes onto a board already contaminated with gold bricks. Your mission is not to survive forever—it is to build complete horizontal rows, clear the marked blocks, and escape before the stack reaches the top.

The daily challenge gives you a focused board and ordinarily just one attempt to conquer it. Each weekday has its own personality, from Sloth Sunday and Blue Monday to Faster Friday and Savage Saturday, so the same simple controls can produce a very different battle from one day to the next.

DayBrix Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

The objective is to remove every gold brick by completing horizontal rows.

FALLING SHAPE → ROTATE → POSITION → COMPLETE ROW → CLEAR BRICKS

The core rules are:

  • Falling shapes descend from the top of the board.
  • Tap to rotate the active shape.
  • Drag to move it horizontally, or use the cursor keys on a keyboard.
  • A completely filled horizontal row disappears.
  • Any gold bricks inside that completed row are cleared.
  • The daily challenge is won only when all gold bricks have been eliminated.
  • If the stack reaches the danger zone before that happens, the run is over.

The catch is that clearing ordinary rows is not enough. You may create plenty of space while leaving one stubborn gold brick trapped beneath an awkward tower.

ROW CLEARED ✅ + GOLD BRICK REMAINS ❌ = CHALLENGE NOT COMPLETE

Daily mode is the high-stakes version, while Arcade Mode lets you practise and chase longer runs. In Arcade Mode, new shapes appear after row milestones and the floor begins to rise as the game progresses.

How To Play DayBrix?

  1. Read the starting board.
Board Shows: three gold bricks buried across two incomplete rows.
What You Learn: the lower row should be your first target because clearing it will remove two marked bricks at once.

  2. Control the falling shape.
    Incoming Piece: an L-shaped block.
Tap to rotate it, then drag it toward the open space on the left.

  3. Complete the first row.
    Player Places: ■■■ + L PIECE → FULL ROW
Game Response: the row flashes and disappears.
Result: two gold bricks are eliminated and the stack drops downward.

  4. Avoid the tower trap.
A long piece could be placed vertically for quick space, but doing so would block access to the final gold brick. Rotate it horizontally and preserve the needed gap instead.

  5. Destroy the final target.
Complete the row containing the last gold brick.
Result: ALL GOLD BRICKS CLEARED | DAILY CHALLENGE COMPLETE.

DayBrix Strategy & Tips

Plan around the gold bricks rather than clearing whichever row is easiest. Before placing a piece, ask whether it helps complete a marked row or creates useful space for a future shape.

Keep the top of the stack as flat as possible. Deep holes and narrow towers are difficult to repair, especially when the next pieces arrive in inconvenient orientations.

Use Arcade Mode before spending the daily attempt. It is the safest place to practise rotating, sliding, and judging where a falling piece will lock into position.
