What is Scout?
Scout is a browser game that tests several kinds of visual attention in one daily run. The five rounds use different actions, so success means switching between careful searching, ordered tapping, change detection, and tracking a moving target. The daily setup is shared, making results comparable with friends.
You can play without an account. There is also a practice mode for repeating a single skill or mixing the challenges together.
The five rounds explained
- ODD: locate the shape whose rotation differs from the others.
- TRAIL: tap the scattered numbers in ascending order.
- FLICK: watch a flickering scene and identify the item that changes.
- SHADOW: follow a marked dot as it moves among similar dots, then indicate where it ended up.
- SWEEP: find the letter T hidden among rotated L shapes.
Search rounds reward fast, accurate responses, with wrong taps costing points. The tracking round measures how close your final selection is to the target. Each round produces a score out of 100; the daily result combines the five performances.

How to play the daily gauntlet
- Select the daily challenge from the opening screen.
- Read the instruction for the next round before starting to tap.
- Complete the visual task, balancing speed with accuracy.
- Continue through all five skills; the daily run gives you one attempt at each.
- Review the scores and use the five-square result to compare the run with friends.
How to improve your next run
For a crowded search grid, scan one region at a time so your eyes do not repeatedly cover the same space. In TRAIL, notice the next number while moving toward the current one. In SHADOW, focus on the marked dot's path rather than trying to follow every moving object.
Practice mode is useful for the particular skill that lowered your daily average. Its changing difficulty gives you repeated attempts without turning the daily result into a series of retries.
