Triplets

Triplets is a fast visual pattern game where you hunt for three cards whose shape, color, fill, and count are each either completely identical or completely different. Every correct combination buys more time, turning careful observation into a frantic score chase.

Triplets

What is Triplets?

Triplets looks like a simple card-matching sprint—until four different attributes begin fighting for your attention. Every card combines a shape, color, fill style, and icon count, and your mission is to find groups of three that obey one unforgiving pattern rule.

The pressure comes from the clock. Each correct Triplet adds 10 seconds to your remaining time, so a sharp streak can keep the run alive while one slow search can end it. When time expires, the game records your score, although you can continue searching in free mode.

Triplets Game Rules (The Catch / The Trap)

Each card has four attributes, with three possible versions of each:

  • Shape: Triangle, circle, or square
  • Color: Green, blue, or red
  • Fill: Outline, shaded, or solid
  • Count: One, two, or three icons

A valid Triplet MUST satisfy the same rule separately for all four attributes:

  • The three values are all the same, or
  • The three values are all different.

The trap is the forbidden middle ground: two matching and one different. If that happens for even one attribute, the entire group is invalid.

Valid Triplet:

  • Card A: ▲ Green · Solid · ×1
  • Card B: ● Blue · Shaded · ×2
  • Card C: ■ Red · Outline · ×3

Result: Every attribute is all different, so the combination survives.

Invalid Triplet:

  • Card A: ▲ Red · Solid · ×1
  • Card B: ● Red · Shaded · ×2
  • Card C: ■ Blue · Outline · ×3

Result: The colors are red, red, and blue—two same and one different. The group is eliminated.

How To Play Triplets?

  1. Scan the board. Compare the shape, color, fill, and count printed on every card.

  2. Build a candidate trio. For example, select ▲ Green ×1, ● Blue ×2, and ■ Red ×3, then check whether each attribute is all same or all different.

  3. Select the three cards. A correct group is accepted and adds 10 seconds to the timer. A rejected group tells you that at least one attribute contains the deadly two-same-and-one-different pattern.

  4. Use the result. If the trio fails, isolate the broken attribute and search for a replacement card. If it succeeds, immediately hunt for the next pattern.

  5. Keep the run alive. Continue finding Triplets until time expires and your score is locked in. You may then continue in free mode without changing that score.

Triplets Strategy & Tips

Start by comparing only one attribute, such as color, before testing shape, fill, and count. This prevents the board from becoming visual noise.

A stronger method is to choose two cards first and calculate what the third card must contain. If the first two colors match, the third color must match them; if they differ, the third must use the remaining color.

Speed matters, but random clicking usually wastes more time than it earns. Build a valid candidate in your head, perform one final four-attribute check, and then commit.
